Speyer / Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region.
After yesterday's meeting of the organizers of the Christmas market and representatives of the city of Speyer, Patrick Barth, who is represented with three food stands at the Christmas market in the area of the Alte Münze, decided to dismantle his stalls this Saturday. At yesterday's meeting of feeders, the city offered the exhibitor companies the opportunity to dismantle their stands themselves if it was no longer worthwhile for them to participate.
Showman Patrick Barth has now made use of this offer after one of his employees tested positive for the corona virus using a quick test on Friday. The employee concerned was not on duty this week, but is staying with colleagues, so that Patrick Barth, in consultation with the administration, has taken precautionary quarantine measures until the result of the PCR test carried out on Friday evening is available. The consumption stands of the Barth company were also closed as a precaution until this point in time. This development has prompted the showman to decide to dismantle his stalls.
The Christmas and handicraft market is open until 6 p.m. today. As a precautionary measure, it will remain closed on Sunday due to the expected rush of visitors. Source Stadt SpeyerFoto Archiv MRN News
