Her private secretary, Sir Edward Young, has come under strong criticism internally for the "reckless" tight timing of the Queen's appointments. Most recently, the British head of state even spent a night in the hospital. In our news blog you can find out what is still happening with the royals. Predecessor of Meghan Markle: Ex-girlfriend surprises with drastic words about Prince Harry
Prince Harry's former girlfriend Florence St George admitted in an interview with the British newspaper Stella Magazine that she was "happy" to no longer be in a relationship with the royal. The 36-year-old couldn't cope with the media interest, she says , attracting attention with a reference to Meghan Markle.
"My privacy ended abruptly and I was scrutinized," the former model describes her experience. St George was in a relationship with the British king's son in 2011.
"Every day there was an article in the newspaper, my school friends were questioned and photographers were on my doorstep," says the ex-girlfriend.
"I take my hat off to the people who can handle this lifestyle," St George again alludes to Harry's partner Meghan, adding: "I knew I couldn't do it."
Then the former model admits: "Although I was sad at the time, I'm glad the relationship didn't last long."
Three years after the relationship ended, St George married the Vice President of the Port Authority of Grand Bahama, Henry St George. Now living in the Bahamas with her husband and two children, she has turned to pottery.

Meghan tells how she had an exciting night of partying with Harry
Harry and Meghan said yes in May 2018. At the time, millions of people watched TV as the former actress walked down the aisle, accompanied by Prince Charles. A year later, Baby Archie was finally born. At the end of March 2020, they announced their royal withdrawal and announced that they wanted to live financially independently from then on. In California, they built a new life and became parents again with daughter Lilibet.
As soon as the two are in public, a camera is always pointed at them. However, at the beginning of their relationship, the two had the opportunity to get to know each other undisturbed and also to attend a party. The 40-year-old reported this on the Ellen DeGeneres talk show. The couple went incognito in Halloween costumes.
"The theme was post-apocalyptic, so we all wore these bizarre costumes and we managed to have one last fun night of partying," Meghan told the talk show legend. In addition to her and the prince, his cousin Eugenie and partner Jack were also among the party people.
According to Meghan, the whole thing took place in Toronto, Canada. At this point, no one knew that Meghan was Harry's new love. Shortly thereafter, the news broke and the whole world reported about the new royal couple.

This is what Prince Charles says about the Queen's health
Because the Queen recently canceled her participation in Remembrance Day, there was renewed concern that her health would be worse than the palace announced. Moderator Piers Morgan was certain: "There is something we are not told about the health of the Queen. It is clearly a more serious situation than the palace says."
Officially, however, it was said that the Queen had sprained her back. It was with great regret that she decided that she could not attend the World War II commemoration ceremony. She was disappointed about that, the message said. Now her eldest son was asked about his mother's health by Sky News during his visit to Jordan. Prince Charles said unusually openly how she should really feel.
The British heir to the throne finally said: "You're fine, thank you very much." And further: "When you get to 95, it's not as easy as it used to be. At 73, it's bad enough." He alluded to his own age and gave an insight into how the monarch should actually be doing with an upcoming back problem.
Duchess Meghan talks to Ellen DeGeneres about daughter Lilibet
Duchess Meghan has not been on a talk show for around ten years, the scandalous interview with US talk show host Oprah Winfrey in March was the former actress' last official TV appearance. Now, however, she was a surprise guest on Ellen DeGeneres' show and revealed some details about her daughter Lilibet.
She revealed that her and Prince Harry's five-month-old child is currently teething. Together, according to Meghan, they try to keep the pain for the little one as low as possible. Ellen DeGeneres jumped right into this sweet tale with a crude joke and suggested trying tequila for pain relief. Meghan's reaction: "So that means Aunt Ellen to you!" DeGeneres quipped on her "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," "That's why I don't have kids."
In a preliminary clip that the presenter published on Instagram, the 40-year-old also said that she used to have to get into her car in an extremely abstruse way. She owned an old Ford Explorer Sport to which the keys on the driver's side no longer worked and you could no longer get in through the door. Meghan always drove to castings and auditions with this car and said: "After the audition, I parked in the back of the car park, opened the trunk and got in, closed it behind me and climbed over all my seats to get in."
It looked very strange from the outside, Ellen also suspected. The "Suits" actress always found an excuse for crawling into her trunk: "I would always say, 'Oh, I'm just looking for my resume and my highlighters for my script.'
Those times are now finally over, but as a duchess, she still had unpleasant experiences with car doors. When she was driven to an official event with her husband in 2018, she closed the door on her own. This annoyed the royals, who maintain strict etiquette and stipulate that a servant must close the door. "The Mirror" headlined at the time that such a faux pas "never happened in public" to her sister-in-law Kate or even the Queen.

Harry wants to publish memoirs, royals seem paralyzed
2022 should be the year in which Prince Harry could possibly cause the next bang in the British royal family: In March, he and his wife Meghan gave an interview to US talk show host Oprah Winfrey, which caused a worldwide outcry, among other things, because of allegations of racism against the royals worried and took the prince even further away from his family.
The blue-blooded would like to publish his experiences truthfully and accurately in a book that is still untitled in 2022, and Harry is currently writing his memoirs. According to a report by the "Daily Mail", a smaller group of former employees of the royal couple were already concerned about this in July after the first book announcement: "Talks have already begun about what steps they could take to protect their own reputation and that of the monarchy to protect after publication," revealed a source at the time.
Apparently, the royals are no longer so happily united today.Image: Chris Jackson Collection / Chris JacksonThe royals themselves have not yet reacted to the planned book and British nobility expert Lady Colin Campbell considers this dangerous in a new YouTube video, as "Express" also reported. Harry's memoir could leave the royal family in a precarious position - and worse still, they don't know how to deal with it publicly, according to Campbell: "The monarchy is acting weak and unresponsive by not warning now of the book's forthcoming release reacted."
The royals are quite worried, as a source confirmed. Finally, the expert justified the family's reluctance: "I think what people don't realize is that a reputable institution that is law-abiding and respects the law generally cannot trample on the rights of others just because it suits them ."
That's why Campbell justifies the behavior of the royals to some extent: "The royals may be perceived as weak for some people in the short term, for others it will appear as if they are respectful."

For defamation and violation of privacy: Sister Samantha threatens Duchess Meghan with a lawsuit
Samantha Markle wants to take legal action against her half-sister Meghan. The reason is false information that the Duchess is said to have spread about her in the biography "Finding Freedom". Meghan denies that she was involved in the publication of the work, but messages to the royal communications secretary Jason Knauf now revealed the opposite: Apparently she was an informant for the two authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand. The bio gives the public a private glimpse into the lives of Harry and Meghan and their decision to distance themselves from the royal family.
In "Finding Freedom", Meghan's half-sister Samantha is not put in a very good light: she is said to have lost custody of her three children and also "never had a relationship" with her siblings. Both of these claims are flat-out lies, according to Samantha. That's why she now wants to sue her own sister for defamation and invasion of privacy. In an interview with the British newspaper The Sunday People, she said: "I'm currently speaking to a lawyer in England and one in the US because there are different loopholes and issues there."
Four Queen employees submit the resignation
The Queen is currently in poor health and even had to cancel her participation in Remembrance Day last weekend. Overall, it is a difficult time for the monarch. She lost her husband this year, and the mood in the royal family has been tense, not least since Meghan and Harry's interview with Oprah Winfrey.
As the "Daily Mail" now reported, the 95-year-old also has to say goodbye to four long-time employees because they are said to have resigned. A faithful housekeeper retired after 32 years of service to the Crown. In the past two months, three other employees, all of whom are believed to be close confidants of the Queen, are said to have also left.
With Christmas being the busiest time of year in Sandringham, replacements must be found quickly, a source told the newspaper. In explaining why four of the Queen's close officials will no longer be working for the Queen, a source said that Prince Philip's death in particular was a major factor. Accordingly, the departures are said to have been described as “the end of an era”.

Piers Morgan says palace is hiding details about the Queen
Remembrance Day is a fixed date in the royal calendar. It was therefore surprising that the Queen canceled her participation in the traditional World War II commemoration ceremony. "The Queen has decided, with great regret, that she will not be able to attend today's Remembrance Sunday ceremony at the Cenotaph, after spraining her back." The Queen was "disappointed," the statement said.
Britain's PA news agency reported that the sprain was recent and unrelated to her doctors' advice to rest. Accordingly, there were concerns about whether driving and standing during the ceremony could affect her recovery. It would have been the monarch's first public appearance after a hospital stay in October.
Moderator Piers Morgan, who recently made the headlines because he attacked the former actress after Harry and Meghan's unveiling interview on ITV, now spoke up with his own assessment. He wrote on Twitter: "There is something we are not being told about the Queen's health." And further: "It is clearly a more serious situation than the palace says."
In any case, the Queen's absence from Remembrance Day raises new questions. One of them revolves around whether the ailing health could also have an impact on the planned celebrations for her 70th jubilee next year. Prime Minister Boris Johnson recently tried to give the all-clear and said at a press conference on the UN climate summit that he only had an audience with the Queen last week and that she was doing "very well".
Duchess Meghan is planning a change in politics: she is said to be aiming for this post
Actors and celebrities go into politics: This is a well-known concept, especially in the USA. According to political expert Richard Johnson, Duchess Meghan may also dare to take this step. In an interview with the British news site "Express", the university professor reveals: "If she wants to follow the path of prominent personalities who rise to high office, the Senate seat would be very attractive for her."
The expert also knows exactly which post the Duchess could aspire to: "If she really has political ambitions, the central post in politics for which she would be suitable is Dianne Feinstein's seat in the California Senate".
The politics professor also gives the reason why exactly this position would be so attractive. The politician Feinstein is almost 90 years old and "it is therefore unlikely that she will stand for re-election," says the expert.
While Meghan has little formal political experience, Johnson still sees an opportunity for her.
"You have to say that running for office in California is extremely expensive. On the other hand, she probably has a lot of powerful friends who would support her," he says, concluding: " So she would be compared to other candidates in a really good position. Her standing in the media could also be of use to her in that."
In addition, Meghan has repeatedly advocated social issues in the past, such as environmental protection, fair vaccine distribution and paid family vacations.
And the political expert also knows: "There are a number of prominent politicians who are doing quite well in the USA."

Queen is injured - Does not attend Remembrance Sunday
Remebrance Sunday is considered a day of honor and it goes without saying that the royal family attends the event. But on Sunday, the British royal palace announced that Queen Elizabeth had to cancel due to an injury. The cancellation was "incredibly regrettable," reports royal journalist Victoria Murphy, citing sources in the royal family.
"The Queen, who sprained her back, decided this morning with great regret that she would not be able to attend the memorial service at the Cenotaph today. Her Majesty is disappointed that she will miss the service," Buckingham Palace said. The Queen will therefore not lay a wreath at the event.
According to Murphy, the Queen is "deeply disappointed" by the cancellation and no one regrets her absence more than the Queen herself.
Elizabeth was instructed by her personal physicians to rest. The back injury is independent of this recommendation, it is said. As Murphy reports, the Queen hopes to be able to perform simple royal duties again next week.
Traditionally, Remembrance Sunday in the UK commemorates soldiers and civilians who served in the military during World War I and World War II.

Did Meghan lie? A former PR consultant testifies in court
The lawyer for the publisher Associated Newspapers accuses Duchess Meghan of expecting the letter to her father to be leaked. In the summer of 2018, she asked Thomas Markle in a letter not to continue speaking to the press and making false claims. Instead of listening to his daughter, Papa Markle did the opposite and had his daughter's letter published in the Mail on Sunday. When Meghan then sued the publisher "Associated Newspapers", she was right before the London High Court: publication of this "personal and private" letter was not legal.
An important detail has now been revealed during the appeal of the verdict: Jason Knauf, a communications secretary for the royals, claimed in court that Meghan knew perfectly well that the letter to her father would be published. As a witness, he testifies that Meghan sent him a draft before sending the letter, which he should examine for harmful wording – in case the text would become public. She even asked the PR expert if she should address her father as "Daddy" in the letter. "In the unfortunate event that it gets leaked, it would go to people's hearts," he quoted the Duchess as saying.
According to the British newspaper "Washington Post", Meghan denied having planned or even hoped to publish the letter. In her letter to the London court, she said: "I didn't want anything to be published, I just wanted to minimize the risk of being manipulated or presented in a misleading light."

"Harry probably doesn't have his wife under control": Expert criticizes Meghan's behavior sharply
After Duchess Meghan had to take criticism from several sides for her open letter to the US House of Representatives, in which she pleaded for paid parental leave, she now collects the next Shitstorm from Royal expert Hilary Fordwich. She said in an interview with Dan Abrams for the US broadcaster "NewsNation":
"Prince Harry obviously can't control his wife because he knows full well that here in the US you can't be a renegade royal because that goes against the centuries-old tradition of royals staying out of politics. Not just American politics politics, but from politics as a whole"After the Duchess of Sussex sent the letter, she also called US politicians from a suppressed number to point out the required paid parental leave, as the US media company "ABC News" wrote.
British royal biographer Angela Levin previously made fun of Duchess Meghan's letter. In an interview with TalkRadio, she smiled: "It's a professional letter to high-ranking politicians and it's signed by her and also by Archie, Lili and Harry. But Archie and Lili are certainly not involved in parental leave yet ."

Author reveals relationship between Harry and William remains 'bad'
Harry's relationship with the rest of his family has been tense, not least since the royal withdrawal. In the interview with Oprah Winfrey, he and Meghan made serious allegations against the royal family. Harry said he was disappointed in his father because he felt "really let down" by him. He stressed that his older brother William and Charles were "trapped" in the royal system. Regarding his older brother's relationship, the father of two said: "Hopefully time heals all wounds." In addition, they are on different paths.
As the reason for the crumbling relationship, he cited William's role as the later heir to the throne and the pressure his own family was under: "Things inevitably happen, but we are brothers, we will always be brothers." Now Royal author Robert Lacey told "Page Six" that the relationship between Prince William and Harry remains "bad".
He also revealed that William recently threw a party to thank the people involved in the sculpture of his mother, Princess Diana. Lacey said, "I spoke to two people from that party and it was pretty clear that his anger at Harry remains."
And further: "He is unhappy about what his brother has done. There is no immediate possibility of reconciliation. I mean, it is not wanted on either side. Too many bitter things have been said." According to the US portal, this statement related primarily to the consequences of the Oprah Winfrey interview. According to the expert, the allegations are the cause of the break between the brothers.
"Was total ass": Meghan's brother surprises with an apology on TV
Since Meghan and Harry have been lovers, there have always been negative headlines about them, which have been launched by some members of their family. The former actress cut ties with her father after marrying Harry. This was preceded by a bitter dispute over the publication of a personal letter from her. Markle later accused the couple of doing all their projects just for the money.
Thomas Markle Jr., Meghan's half-brother, pulled over the 40-year-old, especially in the new season of "Big Brother VIP". He announced in advance that he wanted to talk about her in front of the cameras. In a trailer he already said: "I told Prince Harry: 'I think she's going to ruin your life.'" He also stated that she was very superficial. The two have not been in contact for years.
Thomas Markle Jr. had repeatedly teased his sister in the past. Image: imago images/ MediaPunchNow Thomas Markle Jr. took a stand on his past gossip and read a letter during the Monday edition of the Australian TV format, which he addressed to sister Meghan and her husband Harry. In this he apologizes for his mean statements and also asserts that the words did not come from himself but from a "very dark, hurt part of his heart". Becoming a public figure overnight was "a real nightmare" for him and he didn't know how to deal with all the pressure on his own. In the letter of apology, he admits that he was "a total jerk" and that he wishes he could turn back time.
He concludes, "I hope that Harry and you can take heart and forgive me because this is the real Tom Markle Jr. I love you guys and I want you to know that about me."

Hearing in the abuse process in early January
A few months ago it became known that a civil lawsuit alleging sexual abuse had been filed against Prince Andrew in the United States. Alleged victim Virginia Giuffre said she was molested by the Queen's son more than 20 years ago. She named Jeffrey Epstein's house in New York, the house of Epstein's confidante Ghislaine Maxwell in London and Epstein's private island in the Caribbean as crime scenes.
The lawsuit states she was forced to have sex with the prince against her will. The royal denied the allegations, saying in an interview with the BBC two years ago that he could not remember meeting her. After that, the royal resigned from his royal duties.
It has now become known that in the abuse scandal surrounding the 61-year-old, a New York judge set January 4 as the date for a defense hearing. This means that on that day the court will hear the defendant's arguments for dismissing the case. This was reported, among other things, by the "Daily Mail".
Andrew's lawyers have already strongly denied the allegations. They accuse Giuffre of wanting to enrich himself with the lawsuit. However, according to the press report, the judge said that if the 61-year-old's claim is rejected, the civil trial will begin between September and December 2022.
