US actress Megan Fox (35) and musician Machine Gun Kelly (31) give a deep look into their relationship in an interview with the magazine "GQ". To crown their love for the time being, they tattooed "The darkest fairytale" on each other's bodies. According to Fox, the phrase "alludes to one of the first text messages we sent each other." In his case, it landed on his hip. They were originally going to get the tattoos on their respective inner arm veins, but Kelly is already covered in tattoos. To find a spot where the tattoo wouldn't get lost, they had to hike down.
"He disappeared like a ninja with a smoke bomb"
Fox and Kelly say they first met on the set of action flick Midnight in the Switchgrass in 2020, but actually met a few years earlier at a GQ party in Los Angeles. But they didn't really see their faces back then. "All I remember is this tall, blond, ghostly creature," says Fox. "I looked up at him and thought, 'You smell like weed.' He looked down at me and said, 'I am grass.' And then, I swear to God, he vanished like a ninja with a smoke bomb."
Fox has a theory: "I don't think we were allowed to see each other yet. We weren't allowed to meet that night, so our souls, our spirit guides, lured us away from each other because you literally didn't have a face." Addressing him, she then says, "Thank God, because what agony it would have been if I had known you were there and I couldn't reach you. It was better that I didn't know."
First "real conversation" at the second meeting
When Fox and Kelly met for the second time, she reminded him of their first meeting, among other things. "What we both felt needed no words. It was clear from the first second what it was going to be," Fox says of their relationship, "but we didn't sleep together right away." They started flirting with each other in the Green Room. "She just asked, 'How are you feeling?'" he recalls. "And I said, 'I'm lost.' She said, 'Well, let's find you.' That was the first real conversation we had."
He sent her a few text messages, including the simple phrase, "I'm weed." Fox was delighted. "I just replied: 'How every fairy tale begins'." He then ended the dialogue with: "At least the good ones..." After a few more text messages, they switched to telephoning. The first kiss wasn't a real one, he says: "Even on our first kiss, she didn't want to kiss me. We just put our lips together and breathed each other's breath, and then she just left."
Fox explains she tried to protect her heart even though she knew she was already deeply in love with him. "I [...] didn't expect to run into my soulmate so directly," she says. Apparently she had had enough of her previous life and new paths had opened up. "It was as if all the obstacles that had kept us apart for all these years had been removed and we could finally meet."
The first real date
On their first real date, MGK picked Fox up in a 1974 Cadillac convertible and they heard Ella Fitzgerald. He drove her to the rim of a canyon where a friend was waiting with a picnic on a blanket and a sea of roses. Then they drove down Sunset Boulevard to the Roxy Theater, which was closed. We went to the roof and played pop punk and made out," he recalls. The rest is history.
Her new collection is inspired by him
Megan Fox is launching her new Boohoo collection on October 19th. The 40 pieces include bodycon dresses, over-the-knee boots, boyfriend jeans, a blazer dress, crop tops, a varsity jacket and more. It should also be the most important part of Fox's personal wardrobe, as reported by "People" magazine.
"My favorite piece is going to be the Ohio jacket. Inspired by my lover's [Machine Gun Kelly's] hometown. I also really liked the look I wore with it. It's leather pants with a high waist and a bustier," she adds added. When asked how she would describe her current style, the US star replies: "I think I'm in a phase where it doesn't interest me a bit."
New love after on-off relationship
Megan Fox has been in an on-off relationship with US actor Brian Austin Green (48, "Beverly Hills, 90210) since 2004. They celebrated their wedding in June 2010. They announced their separation shortly before they were ten years old. The three together Sons were born in 2012, 2014 and 2016. He brought another son (born 2002) into the marriage.
In late July 2020, Fox and musician Machine Gun Kelly confirmed their relationship. Colcon Baker, Kelly's native name, was born in Houston, Texas. After many moves with his parents, he ended up in Cleveland, Ohio at the age of 14.
