Powder not only mattifies oily areas, but also fixes the make-up - ideally throughout the day. We reveal here which products we prefer to powder ourselves with.

Overview

"Blur + Set Matte Loose Setting Powder" by Milk

Recommended by Daniela, Editor-in-Chief of STYLEBOOK I rarely use powder because most of them are just too chalky on my face. The “Blur + Set Matte Loose Setting Powder” from Milk (25 g/approx. 26 euros) is pleasantly different. It feels light on the skin, mattifies it and conceals pores. The fixing effect also allows my make-up to last longer throughout the day.

Essence "All about matt! fixing compact powder"

Recommended by Anna-Lena, editor STYLEBOOKI have sworn by transparent powders for years because they reliably mattify the face without darkening it uncomfortably. My favorite is the Essence “All about matt! fixing compact powder” (approx. 3 euros). It looks pretty white at first glance, but when applied it looks transparent and becomes invisible after the Fixing Spray at the latest. Thanks to the transparent formula, re-powdering is no problem either, the powder reliably makes oily areas disappear, but never looks cakey.

Manhattan "Soft Mat Loose" powder

Recommended by Melanie, editor of FITBOOKI'm a fan of the Manhattan "Soft Mat Loose Powder" (20 g/approx. 8 euros) and I particularly like the fact that it not only fixes make-up, concealer, etc. super, but also matted overall. Nevertheless, in my opinion, it looks quite natural and not like a mask on the face. And it is also super comfortable to wear.

"Velvet Powder" by Benefit

Recommended by Lisa, Product & Business Manager TRAVELBOOKI prefer to use the “Velvet Powder” from Benefit (approx. 33 euros). It has a very matting effect and can therefore easily be used as a foundation substitute. However, I use it more partially, mainly in the T-zone, i.e. in the areas that shine quickly.

Terracotta Nude Powder by Guerlain

Recommended by Laura, MyHOMEBOOK EditorI don't use foundation or make-up, but I still want my face to shine for special occasions. I've found the perfect product to enhance my complexion while still looking natural - Guerlain's Terracotta Nude Powder ($40). The powder in universal color adapts to every skin tone. It does not cover, but gives the skin a nice glow and scores with its pleasant scent.

"Soft Compact Powder" by Manhattan

Recommended by Trixi, Lead Editor STYLEBOOKFor as long as I can remember, when it comes to powder, I've relied on Manhattan's "Soft Compact Powder" in the nuance "Vanilla" (9 g/approx. 3 euros). I apply it to shiny areas on my nose and forehead with a soft brush, done. I like the consistency - if powder products are too chalky, I immediately get goosebumps. That doesn't happen with this one, at the same time the color and price convince me.
