GALA: What is your step-by-step facial care routine?
Marlene Lufen: To start the day perfectly, I first wash my face with lots of warm water. This is followed by the "CE Ferrulic" serum from Skin Ceuticals and the UV facial care "Dynamic Skin Recovery" from Dermalogica. In the evening I prefer to remove my make-up with oil, my favorite is "REINE", the cleansing oil from Und Gretel I use Kiehl's "Ultra Facial Moisturizer" to keep my skin moisturized overnight.
How and with what do you care/style your hair?
I've been tinting my hair with herbal hair color (from Be Organic) for a few months now and I'm amazed at how healthy the hair is becoming. For great curls, I rinse my hair out with cold water after washing and scrunch Paul Mitchell's "CURLS Twirl Around" into my damp mane.
What was the last cosmetic product you threw away because you didn't want to use it up?
I'm not a fan of sheet masks because they often have far too many artificial ingredients and perfumes in them. Also, too much stuff gets thrown away afterwards.
What was the last cosmetic product you bought and why?
Omorovicza's lip balm may be expensive, but it's worth every penny - the pretty little pot alone alone. I can also recommend Und Gretel's Labello.
What are three beauty products you can't live without?
My products from Und Gretel! On the one hand, my self-created lipstick TAGAROT "Powder Rose", which creates the perfect lip color. Naturalness is super important to me when it comes to concealers: My concealer TUNKAL in color three blends invisibly with the skin. from Dermalogica is the best care with SPF 50.

Which make-up product puts you in a good mood on a gray day?
Fresh rouge on the cheek makes you shine directly. I really like the Rouge Stick from Chanel (in No.25).
What hype have you fallen for before?
I thought for a while that many glow products on the face make it more beautiful. In the end, that's often too much: you look artificial and covered in make-up. I prefer to use less powder and get the natural glow of the skin!
What beauty trend are you loving right now?
Black kajal on the waterline of the eyes for more contour. Then I leave the eyeliner but away! I feel very comfortable with that right now, even if it's maybe old hype. If you want something more: A blue or turquoise eyeliner is a real eye-catcher!
A great evening event is coming up. How do you prepare your face and body for an event?
Most of the time I resolve to have enough time to get ready and in the end it has to be done quickly. It somehow runs through every area of life. For a good base, I like to use an ampoule from Babor - it's quick and the skin looks beautifully glowy and plump.
From which celebrity have you received or read and adopted a great beauty tip?
Barbara Becker has often given me very good advice. I was able to join you in your Pilates DVD earlier! She gives great tips on how to keep your body in good balance.
What was the nicest compliment you've ever been given?
That wasn't referring to my looks.
When do you feel your best?
After a day at the beach! The hair is salty and curly, the skin is sun-kissed and there is very little makeup on my face. Unfortunately, this is not a permanent condition.
Marlene's beauty mantra: jump into cold water from time to time! Her best beauty tip: a glass of carrot juice with a teaspoon of linseed oil - good for the skin and for the brain! Marlene's beauty role model: mine Icons used to be Audrey Hepburn and Linda Evangelista, two very beautiful, strong women. Above all, I believe that you should make friends with your own face! Your beauty no-go: artificial nails, eyelash extensions, crass teeth whitening, extensions - nothing for me!
