Just because we all have at least one eyeshadow palette at home doesn't mean we use it regularly. The reason: no time! If you don't want to and can't schedule half an hour for make-up in the morning, you should first focus on the basics - and eye shadow is usually not part of that. However, there is a simple trick that you can use to apply and even blend your eyeshadow at lightning speed.
Eyeshadow trick for the lazy
On Instagram and TikTok we see a very special technique again and again. Here, the individual colors that you want to use for the eye make-up are placed directly next to each other on the eye with a small, firm shader brush or pencil brush. Here you build up the colors as you would place them individually: the darkest tone comes to the outside, the lightest to the inside. In any case, take a good amount of eye shadow on the brush and paint a "line" from the crease of the eyelid to the lash line. You can see exactly how this works in the video:
Now you have to blend all the colors together. Important here: Do not use a brush that is too big, otherwise all the colors will mix completely with each other and the transitions will no longer be visible. And that's exactly what we want. Incidentally, this technique works best with three to five colors. You can also combine matte colors and shimmers. If you want, you can also apply the eyeshadows horizontally on top of each other instead of next to each other.
