About the exhibitionBetween normality and a state of emergency - this is how we experienced and are still experiencing the time of the corona pandemic. An interim period in which the world had to rearrange itself and consequently perspectives have shifted for all of us. How did artists experience this time? Has it really changed the artists and their work? What resonances did you find in your artistic work?
42 APK artists explore this question in the exhibition at the Kunsthaus: Roland Albert, Rosel Anton, Uta Arnhardt, Nicole Bellaire, Wolfgang Blanke, Ulli Bomans, Artur Bozem, Monika Bozem, Jürgen Braun, Thomas Brenner, Stefan Engel, Ursula Faber, Christine Fischer, Stefan Forler, Klaus Fresenius, Jochen Frisch, Hans-Heinrich Fusser, Manfred Graf, Jörg Heieck, Klaus M. Hartmann, Petra Hübel, Gabriele Jahnke, Petra Jung, Anne Janoschka, Marita Mattheck, Siegbert Merx , Engelbert Müller, Dieter Kühn, Ulrich G. Oberst, Elke Pfaffmann, Manfred Plathe, Meike Porz, Bärbel Rothhaar, Silvia Rudolf, Katharina Rumpf, Anne-Marie Sprenger, Horst Steier, Matthias Strugalla, Cordula Wagner, Irmgard Weber, Hedda Wilms and Dimana Wolf.
The works presented were created during the corona pandemic. A wide variety of positions in dealing with this stressful phase of great restrictions and an exciting spectrum of artistic reflections are presented. The selection of artists, exhibition conception and curating is in the hands of the APK board.
