Maxime raves about Raphael: "Serenity personified"
Maxime had clear expectations of her time as "Bachelorette": "To write my very own story. To stay true to myself and then also hopefully to find my matching lid." Did she make it? At least she was able to make a decision - and that could certainly be doubted during the season, because Maxime was in the emotional chaos. Not giving a rose was never an option for her, she says today. "Sure, it's not easy being the Bachelorette, but everything happened just as it was supposed to."
"From the very beginning of my journey, I had a clear vision of what I wanted in a partner. A good heart and empathy are high on the list. That describes Raphi very well. His heart is in the right place," says the 27-year-old. "It was absolutely the right decision." Her first impression of Raphael did not disappoint. "Raphi is calm and serenity personified," she says. "You can only say that about very few people. I noticed that from the beginning, but over time it has been confirmed more and more."
Nevertheless, it didn't sound like a happy ending full of love and romance when Maxime shared her decision after the show. "We're not a couple at the moment," she confirms in our interview. "But we like each other and just see where everything goes. We don't want to put any pressure on ourselves." Away from the cameras, the two can now get to know each other and who knows, maybe they will become a couple after all.
Does Maxime give Leon a second chance?
"Leon was the first man to get out of the car. At that moment, he prepared me a bit for what was to come. I really liked that likeable," says Maxime about the favorite of the first episodes. His exit was a "very surprising moment". "Especially because I didn't see it coming. But there is also something positive about someone leaving voluntarily. This decision is just fair for everyone." Despite the rumours, there won't be a second chance. "I'm not interested in any of the other guys. There was one last rose, and that's a good thing," she says, smiling. She was able to confidently ignore Julian's allusions during the show. "I didn't expect that," she says. "But I think it's very good that you have the opportunity to express yourself again and, above all, that I was able to address different things."
When we met again, it became clear that everyone has their own opinion about their decision. However, Maxime has no regrets. "I took a look one or the other time, but I don't let it bother me," she says of the many comments on her "Bachelorette" season. "Every person is different and every 'Bachelor' and 'Bachelorette' journey is individual. I have to make the right decision for me, not for someone else," she says. "I think we had a good season despite the ups and downs. Everything turned out exactly as it should."
