"Adidas sent it to me yesterday and asked if I could wear it today," Nagelsmann told ESPN. "I said it might be a bit too cold. But I'm moving quickly in the Coaching zone so it was warm enough in the end. I'm glad when some fans say it's a nice jacket."
With a maximum of five degrees on Saturday evening in the Allianz Arena, Sky expert Lothar Matthäus also noted that the jacket might not have been Nagelsmann's ideal choice of clothing.
"At least he moved more than I did up there. He's energized and I assume that the jacket is well lined, even if it looks summery," said Matthäus. Nagelsmann replied: "I could raise my arms and then you would see that they were warm enough. But let's leave that aside."
Nagelsmann and his jackets. It wasn't the first time that this was an issue on Saturday night. When the coach was still employed by TSG Hoffenheim a few years ago, he attended a Bayern Munich game wearing a red jacket.
Even back then there were rumors about Nagelsmann's possible move to FCB, some saw this as confirmed by the jacket in the Munich club colors. A year later, he auctioned off the "Bayern coat" for a good cause on ebay.
