After a cinema reboot followed in 2019 with "Child's Play", the most legendary murderer doll in film history is now also conquering the television landscape with "Chucky".
Chucky airs today, January 19, 2022 at 8:15 p.m. on SyFy. The series is also available in Germany on Sky and Sky Ticket. The first episode can be seen from today, the remaining seven episodes will follow on Wednesdays in a weekly rhythm. So we continue with the second chapter on January 26th.

By the way, it's worth seeing one or the other "Chucky" film before the series. Although you should be able to follow the series without any problems, the opening episode is already full of small cross-references and returners. Because Arthur soon realizes that he doesn't just have any good guy at home, but the serial killer Charles Lee Ray's (Brad Dourif) obsessed Chucky, who has made many a bloody headline in the past. Still puzzled that Chucky seems to have his own consciousness, Arthur still takes the killer doll more and more to his heart. Because he's his friend, someone who doesn't leave his side even in difficult times and stands up for him, for example in the fight against the nasty school bullies who harass Arthur every day. But that should be the end of it once and for all...

Even more horror cult revivalsSimilar to the previous year, 2022 will be all about various cult comebacks for horror fans. In the coming weeks and months, in addition to new episodes of "Chucky", we can also expect "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" (from February 18 on Netflix), "Jeepers Creepers: Reborn" (from April 21 in cinemas) and " Halloween Ends” (in cinemas from October 13).
But they will all have to be measured against "Scream 5", which has been in cinemas since last week.
